Over this past weekend, I decided to uninstall my 1-click installation of Joomla! and install it manually so I could have more control over the initial configuration settings. We started class today by taking a look at what happens when someone tries to hack a Joomla! site. Tim Krause showed us his site which got hacked last night (perfect timing for a good class example) and also showed us several different ways to prevent your site from being hacked. (more…)
So, this is my first blog ever which I created for my WDMD 346 class. I will be making posts that are relevant to the topics we are covering in that class, and anything else that comes to mind. I have about a year of experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (another WCMS) from my job with UWSP Web and Media Services, and I am looking forward to learning more about WordPress, Joomla! and Drupal.
